2024 has been a monumental year for Challenge Unlimited as several of our exceptional team members have been appointed to influential boards in the disability employment and advocacy sectors. These appointments not only reflect their dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to advancing opportunities for individuals with disabilities, but also highlight their broader impact in driving industry-wide change. At Challenge Unlimited, we believe leadership extends beyond guiding our organization—it’s about shaping the future of inclusive employment on a larger scale.

Jonathan Becker – Illinois State Rehabilitation Advisory Council
Challenge Unlimited Vice President of Programs, Jonathan Becker, was recently appointed to the Illinois State Rehabilitation Advisory Council, where he will provide valuable insights into policies and services that support individuals with disabilities seeking employment. Johnathan has over 25 years’ experience in health and human services and vocational rehabilitation. In his new role he will advocate for more inclusive employment practices, progressive policies, workforce inclusion and help guide the future of rehabilitation services in Illinois.
Susan Wild – IDHS Developmental Disabilities Advisory Council
Susan Wild, is the Director of our Skills Training and Community Day Programs. She has over 3 decades of experience serving individuals with disabilities and her appointment to the Illinois Department of Human Services’ Developmental Disabilities Advisory Council marks a continuation of her impactful leadership. As a champion for individuals with developmental disabilities, Susan will work alongside other council members to develop policies and programs that increase access to essential services and employment opportunities, fostering greater inclusion statewide.
Kit Brewer – ANCOR Board of Representatives
Kit Brewer joined the ANCOR Board of Representatives, in October, bringing his passion for employment choice and disability rights to the national stage. As Executive Director of Project CU, Kit’s work advocating for expanded opportunities for people with disabilities will provide valuable perspectives in shaping policy and driving innovation across the disability services sector. Kit also serves as Vice President of The Coalition for the Preservation of Employment Choice. He has over 25 years of experience as a non-profit administrator. In addition to his professional background, Kit is also a parent of an adult child on the autism spectrum. will serve on the Government Engagement and Grassroots Advocacy Committees. Lisa Wojick – Illinois Workforce Innovation Board
Lisa Wojcik’s appointment to the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board positions her at the forefront of workforce development strategies for people with disabilities. She has over 10 years’ experience working in employment services at Challenge Unlimited. In Lisa’s previous role as a job coach, she made a huge impact for Employment Services Participant, Shawn Kehrer, who was featured on KDSK. Jeanna Smith – Missouri Rehabilitation Association, Eastern Chapter
Jeanna Smith was recently appointed to the Missouri Rehabilitation Association’s Eastern Chapter. Her new role allows her to advocate for stronger rehabilitation programs and ensure they meet the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities. Jeanna’s dedication to advancing rehabilitation services will contribute to creating sustainable employment opportunities throughout Missouri.
