Access to Good Jobs for All: Project CU’s Board Visit for NDEAM 2024
As part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) 2024, Project CU welcomed our Board of Directors for an inspiring visit that highlighted the heart of our mission: Access to Good Jobs for All. This campaign isn’t just a slogan for us—it’s a commitment. At Project CU, all truly means all, including people with significant disabilities who deserve meaningful work and the choice to pursue jobs they are passionate about.
A Team Built on Choice and Inclusion
Our Board members had the chance to meet with production workers and staff, hearing firsthand about the pride and sense of belonging that come from having the freedom to choose their roles. Each individual at Project CU selects a job that aligns with their strengths and interests, giving them not just a paycheck, but a real place within our team. For people with significant disabilities, having the chance to make these choices is life-changing. It’s about dignity, growth, and the pride that comes from being an essential part of the workforce.
Creating Opportunities for Every Ability
Project CU has been a pioneer in inclusive employment in St. Louis for many years. As the oldest provider of extended employment in the area, we’re dedicated to making sure that “access for all” is more than words—it’s a practice. With support from our Executive Director, Kit Brewer, and our committed Board, we’re continuously working to expand opportunities so everyone, including those with the most significant disabilities, can access good jobs that make a difference in their lives.
