CU Leadership comes together for in-person Quarterly Manager Meeting with special guest speaker Wes Tyler from SourceAmerica

Roughly 80 members of leadership from across the organization gathered in Alton, IL September 18th for the Quarterly Manager Meeting. The QMM was a time to learn, connect, and celebrate our team.
“The QMM is an intentional time to bring together managers from all areas together in one space,” said April Santos, Challenge Unlimited’s VP of Human Resources. “We look forward to our annual live gathering, as the other three sessions are virtual.”
Attendees had the opportunity to participate in one-on-one interviews with the Marketing Team, where they shared personal experiences and provided updates from their respective locations at Challenge Unlimited. In addition to these insightful conversations, participants engaged in the interactive “If I Were CEO…” table activity, sparking creative ideas and leadership discussions. To round out the event, everyone enjoyed capturing memorable moments at the photo booth, adding a fun and lively touch to the gathering.
This quarter’s ABCD Awards went to Connie Boyer–Senior Staff Accountant at Project CU, Ben Merten–IT Support Coordinator for Challenge Unlimited, and Sonya Gyon–Community Day Services Manager/QIDP at CU’s Swansea Skills Training Center.
Following lunch, Wes Tyler, EVP and COO of SourceAmerica, and delivered motivational insights about the power of service and making a meaningful difference. Tom Hartigan, SourceAmerica’s VP of Account Services, joined the conversation by stepping into the crowd, fielding questions from CU leadership and facilitating a dynamic discussion that encouraged participation and thoughtful exchange.
As the Quarterly Manager Meeting came to a close, attendees left energized and inspired, carrying forward new ideas and stronger connections across the organization, but they didn’t leave before having a little fun at Riverbend Axe and Games. Just as participants aimed at bullseyes at the after party, our team remains focused on our shared goals and committed to hitting the mark together—both in work and in building a vibrant, supportive workplace community.
